Media

  • When we use social media for ministry, we're not breaking away from traditional methods; we're simply taking them further. The social media ministry has the opportunity of both informing and inspiring on our platforms. We have the opportunity to reach many before they step into a church. We create graphics, reels, videos, and all other content online. We also make sure our website is up to date. If you are interested in helping create graphics, well ver and or all other content we would love to have you join us!

  • In the Photography ministry we use photos to communicate our mission and message via our website, social media, print materials, and more. These may be photos of what happens i in our worship services, or they may be photos that capture special moments like baptism or outreaches. If you have an eye for photography or are simply interested in learning, we would love it if you join us!

  • This ministry is responsible for managing the overall layout and aesthetic for our website. Along with keeping it up-to-date. If you are familiar with website design we would love for you to join us!

Services & Productions

  • As a band we are responsible for coming together helping to lead Selah City Church into worship through music along with the singers as one. Our goal is to always be led by the Holy Spirit who works through our talents to encourage and be a blessing to everyone. We work hard on our craft and talents and always arrive as prepared as possible giving God our excellence. If you have a musical talent please get connected with us.

  • As singers and worship leaders we are responsible for coming together and helping to lead Selah City Church into worship through music along with the band as one team. Our goal is always to be led by the Holy Spirit who works through our talents to encourage and be a blessing to everyone.   • The tech ministry covers a wide range of needs at the church. We assist in services so that we can have the best worship experience possible. Our branches in tech are Audio- In person and online. Media- Any lyrics, video, pictures that goes on the main screen as well as online. Video- Giving people online and on occasionally in person the viewing experience. We also train, teach and equip every person on the team.

  • The Moderators’ ministry is a “behind the scenes” ministry yet an important one for Selah City Church. We assist in connecting those watching our services online. We are responsible for interacting with the online community by responding to comments and posting greetings, scriptures and important points of the sermon as well as the announcements and all of the necessary links so that everyone online may have all the information they need. Our goal is to facilitate an encounter with God by being a liaison to the live stream service and encouraging an atmosphere of worship by providing a sense of community.

  • The creative services ministry provides fresh and exciting special elements to certain services. Our task is to enhance, serve, assist, and help the services at Selah City Church in many creative ways. Some ways we do this are by: writing scripts, directing plays, acting, dancing, building scenery, sewing special costumes, producing, singing and visual & sound effects.

  • The production ministry provides organization and flow for all services at Selah. We’re responsible for coordinating and keeping order and working together with all ministries of Services & Production making sure all are on the same page. We communicate with our hosts to provide information and announcements to the church. Our goal is that everyone has an encounter with God in our services in person and online. If you have a creative eye and love organization you will be a great fit!

Operations

  • The Ushers ministry is in charge of giving a warm welcome to visitors and helping to maintain a calm and pleasant atmosphere during the service. We also help to control the traffic and guide our guests to their seats.

  • Our main responsibility is to welcome visitors in an environment that makes them feel at home. We are prepared with information about services and resources that the church provides and is available to our guests. It is our pleasure to extend help to all who are in our building.

  • Operations is the supporting ministry for all other ministries, providing the necessary resources so that everything can run smoothly and seamlessly. Operations assists during in person services, ensuring all behind the scene logistics are ready and set to go.

  • This is a ministry that provides assistance in case of a medical emergency, we make sure that people feel well, and in case of an emergency, we contact the appropriate help.

  • Culinary provides food to all our volunteers who serve on Sundays. We also prepare and set up all necessary items for our guests and various events.

  • Facilities helps to ensure that our building is a clean and safe environment for all who walk in through our doors. We also assist other ministries throughout the day to set up and or break down their station or work area.

Expand Department

Leadership

  • This team creates courses and curates church wide learning experiences designed to help our members grow as disciples, in their leadership and in the development of their gifts. This team is made up of administrators, researchers and course facilitators. They create opportunities for our members to engage in Biblical conversations related to our church’s teachings and help our leaders develop content for the congregation's ongoing discipleship and development as we prayerfully plan and execute a discipleship pathway.

Selah Groups

  • This team is made up of administrators, coaches and small group facilitators. They all work together to cultivate small discipleship communities where, under the care of a trained Small Group Facilitator and the support of a coach, participants are given opportunities to connect in community, grow in their faith, participate in Bible Studies and be discipled in their journey to follow Jesus.

Connection

  • This team facilitates the opportunity for visitors and new believers to understand the importance of community and connection to a “local body” of believers. They walk participants through a short course on membership and coordinate a Membership Sunday celebration.

  • The Baptism Team prepares new believers to take this important step by offering guidance and answering questions then standing with baptism candidates on the day of their baptism. Following baptism this team offers next steps on the discipleship pathway

  • When visitors and members complete a connect card this team follows up with them to pray with them, answer questions about salvation or about our faith and they give them a simple next step to continue on their path as followers of Jesus. They also help maintain our church database with family updates and individual milestones.

Next Gen

  • This team serves as the connection point between the Services and Production team and the baby’s family. They coordinate every step of Baby Dedications from the initial request to a family orientation to the day of celebration.

  • This team is made up of teams of men and women who work together to bring Selah City Church’s mission to life for three different age groups. Team members can choose which age group they’d like to work with - students are generally separated by school age: While each team member brings their individual gifts to the ministry they also collaborate with their team leader and manager to foster an environment that allows children to be engaged in a fun, age-appropriate and safe environment. Next Gen teams come alongside parents and guardians to help disciple our students and keep them connected in our church community. They lead our students in worship, play games, teach Biblical truths and actively participate in every child’s smooth transition from one age group to the next. Through the work of the Spirit, this team helps to develop mature students who actively pursue an intimate relationship with Jesus, are eager to grow in their faith and in their desire to serve others.

Extend Department

Partnerships

  • The Community Partnerships team will determine what is needed to accomplish Selah City Church’s vision through the Extend department and connect with resources to accomplish the vision. This team seeks out to build relationships with local stakeholders and collaborate in joint projects with other local organizations to build the kingdom together. This team is heavily involved in administrative work such as writing partnership emails, applying for grants, and scheduling donations for outreaches.

Outreach

  • The purpose of the Outreach team is to provide social events and activities that will meet the needs of the community and most importantly share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This team is heavily involved in the planning, creativity and execution of the outreach. We dedicate our time to make people smile and to know we are there for them.

Evangelism

  • The Evangelism Team’s mission is to extend the good news of the gospel of Salvation and the love of God for humanity. Our team members are trained on how to evangelize with respect, love, and kindness. We plan and organize outreaches that include distribution of Bibles, tracts, Daily Breads, refreshments, personal toiletries, clothes, and flyers promoting our church’s events. We also offer prayer at our prayer tent. We outreach at parks; streets and at the church’s events organized by Extend.
